5 Surprising things I've learned...

1) The key to healing is connection. Connection between your synapses, your body, your family, your community. Focus on feeling connected. The reason why ketamine works so fast for depression? Connection! It helps get your synapses to become way denser and more connected very quickly. It's pretty amazing. The synapses are the bridges between your neurons or brain cells. :-)

2) Most people are trying their best. Honestly, I have so much hope and faith in humanity. When you work with people 1:1 you get to see how beautiful we all are.

3) I meet a sociopath about once every 3 years. You would think it would be more often, but they are pretty rare. I know I’ve met one when it feels like they want to eat the skin off my face.

4) There’s no mind body connection because there’s no actual separation to be connected. Your brain and mind are one. Your brain is impacted by your entire body and vice versa. You are one complete functioning organism of course it’s all interconnected.

5) Women suffer from an atrocity of health disparities, especially women of color. I work so hard everyday to try to reduce this because I want to live in a world that’s safe and supportive for women.
