Candy Neurons are Not so Sweet
As estrogen levels begin to decrease, particularly during the transition into perimenopause, the candy neurons can become hyperactive, leading to a phenomenon often described as "hulked out." This hyperactivity means that the neurons can overreact to what would normally be considered minor triggers, resulting in sudden and intense sensations of heat known as hot flashes.
